Well what do you know about that.....

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

Take the Quiz here!

I have been seeing this quiz on other people's blogs. Being the consummate Austen fan, I thought I must give it a go-go for myself and what do you know... I am Miss Lizzy herself! (Although I must say my favorite Austen heroine remains Anne Elliot).

Speaking of our beloved miss Austen, have you been watching the PBS/Masterpiece Theater adaptations? They are wonderful! Tonight is Part II of Sense and Sensibility.

Hope your weekends have been lovely. I have spent mine tackling a few things on my list, and a few things not on the list. Last week I re-organized the bathroom and the linen closet, Friday night was spent repainting the cabinets, I re-did the front porch (not on the list, but necessary to do) and made the appointment with H & R block to get the taxes done! Woohoo! Pictures coming soon (not of the taxes, of course :-) ) Arrgh, there's still so much to do! As a motivator, I have decided not to make any new little paper mache guys until I take care of some of this home stuff. :-(

I am off on a business trip through the end of the week, the culmination of which will be a meeting where I will find out the future of my job's grant status (and therefore, the future of my gainful employment).

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Look at you go! I have been trying to gut and organize my laundy/craft/studio room this weekend. What kind of cabinets did you paint? I have oak that I hate but hubby insists I couldn't find paint to hide the grain. Show those pictures! Good luck with taxes and the job. Being a grown-up is the pits sometimes isn't it?

awww ... and just when I was looking forward to seeing a picture of your taxes too! lol Not really. I love that Jane Austin quiz. I am Eleanor Dashwood. I Love Jane Austin. Have you seen the film "Becoming Jane"? If not you should! It stars Jane Hathaway and she is the perfect Jane! I highly recommend!

You have my utmost sympathy re the taxes, horrible time of year, in the UK the last deadline is at the end of Jan, not a good time coming staright after Christmas.

Sounds like you are getting things done. A few jobs here and there add up quickly. Keep up the good work.
