Cool Sofa!!!!

Currently we have a small den that, bit by bit, we hope to transform into an Art Deco style home theater. After saving up for a while, we finally we able to place an order for a new sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman in red velvet from CoolSofa.com... I am so excited! Check it out!!!

I love this furniture company!!!They make their sofas right there in their factory in Costa Mesa, California. When you call and ask a question, one of the owners is there to answer it for you! You can order sofas in so many gorgeous fabrics and then they build it just for you. And the prices are unbelievably awesome. I should get mine in about 3-4 weeks. I can't wait!!!! Also on my home theater movie wish list...

1. Flat screen TV (surrounded by red velvet curtains)

2. Cool old movie posters (found at Allposters.com) like this....

and this....

and this...

And what is a movie theatre without one of these.....

I'd like to paint the walls and floor too... would LOVE some color and or wallpaper suggestions :-)

What a comfy room that will be! You'll need some kind of bookcase to hold all the hundreds of movies you'll be watching in there!

You are right! The underside of the staircase is in the den. We are thinking of building shelving into that to hide all the electronics and the DVDs :-)

You would love our little local theatre. It's been restored and has many Art Deco features including a tulip design tin ceiling that one of the early owners had installed for his wife. It was her favorite flower. The seats are red velet too! You will love the popcorn machine. We had one in the video store we used to own. The aroma of fresh popped corn really puts you in the movie watching mood.
Have you considered an anagypta wallpaper? It's embossed and paintable. There are so many designs and it may give the room a vintage feel. I'm planning on using it on my DR and LR ceilings, to give them a vintage tin ceiling look. :)

Oh my gosh! My brother and sister-in-law are doing their house over in an art deco style as well! On ebay you can usually find old silent movie slides which were advertisements for upcoming movies.. when held to the light they can project a cool old movie advert on the wall (I got my sister-in-law hooked on them)!

The sofa is too cute.
I think that indigo or violet is the wonderful color to paint your house.
