Hot off the presses!!! (and a Giveaway!)

Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Crafts!
With lots of creative projects to get your holiday mojo going, including.....
Hooray!!!

Last March, the magazine's editor very kindly emailed me and asked me if I would be interested in submitting a project for their 2009 issue. Of course (dancing around and bouncing and shouting for joy) I said yes! And a few months later, there he is. A very sassy Santa indeed!

My sweet husband insisted we buy all of our grocery store's copies. I talked him down to 4 copies, 2 for me (one to cut up and put it a frame for when I do craft shows) and one to keep. The other to give to my mom in law, who has always encouraged me to make dolls (even though I have given her some horrid ones when I first started sculpting. She still displays them with pride.)

And because all my fellow bloggers and blog readers have also been such a encouragement to me, the final copy I bought I'd like to offer as a giveaway! Simply leave a comment and share what your favorite holiday craft is. Do you make ornaments? Embroider? Handmade gifts? Gingerbread Houses? Winners will be drawn 1 week from tomorrow.
Thanks so much for sharing in my goofy excitement :-)

Since I've already been lucky enough to win one of your giveaways this year I'll just go buy a copy of the magazine. I love Better Homes and Gardens magazine anyway:) How happy you must be to be included in this issue! I just read your last post about being 20 and having your sweet baby. I was 28 when I had my first baby and I was still pretty scared myself. My oldest is turning 11 in a month and part of me wishes we could freeze time and the other part is excited to see him grow into those feet! Congratulation Jenny on your article! Oh and my favorite thing to do is to paint.

I would love love love to win the contest!!!
I love Christmas and do so many things, usually...I guess one of my faves is decorating clear, glass ornaments..I seem to have found many venues for them...as each Christmas season comes around, I usually purchase a dozen or so and get creative with them....

Congratulations! You deserve it. I bought one of your Halloween pieces when you were in Pleasanton and love it.
I go on a baking spree every Christmas and try and find new and creative ways to package the goodies. I make a new decoration for our home each year. It is fun to have decorations that you made.

I love your Santa! Your designs are so cute and nostalgic. I always make a lot of my Christmas gifts and usually come up with one ornament to make for everyone. I do a lot of sewing/quilt type crafts. This year is going to be dolls since I have 5 granddaughters.

Congrats! And if I don't get picked in your giveaway, I'm going to pick up a copy at my local store. Papier mache has been my craft of choice of late so I'm excited to try your cute santa. I do a variety of crafts but for the holidays I tend to do sewing related things - wall quilts and such.

Awesome!!! That is wonderful! It is so fun to see your whimsical work in print...what an adorable Santa!
I make all sorts of different Christmas crafts...last year, my project was a 12 days of Christmas mantle cover that i made from an old wooden window valance.

You should be excited! So cool! And I love that magazine, I carried last years Christmas copy from CA to UT cause I wanted to make everything! I loved making my birds, I would love to learn to make Santa! Let's see, favorite Christmas craft tends to change every year, it was Christmas quilts for a couple of years. The most consistent is probably baby doll clothes for my daughter every year.

My Mom and I get this magazine every year because there are always projects we want to try. You should have heard me squeal in the Sam's Club when I saw your santa in there! And my Mom has one of the Santa head ornaments you made and she knew right away that I knew someone famous!

These are on our list to try. :)
